Bible Story - Daniel 3

Bible Verses to chose from - Deuteronomy3:16, Deuteronomy3:18, Joshua 1:5, 1 John 4:4

What you will need - A white cotton rag or handkerchief, rubbing alcohol, water, bowl, lighter or matches, tongs, metal bucket or stockpot, fire extinguisher

Fill a bowl with 3 parts rubbing alcohol and 1 part water. Have your rag soaking and completely saturated in the mixture just prior to the lessons.

Just because we are Christians does not mean we don't have problems. In fact, GOD said we would have problems, but HE also said that HE would always be there for us, HE will never leave us or forsake us. No matter how big the problem, GOD will always see us through.

When we become Christians, this makes the devil very angry, and so he begins his attack!

Before you say "attack" you want to have picked up the rag with the tongs, making sure rag is positioned over metal bucket, and when you say "attack" set the handkerchief on fire.

But you see, as long as we have GOD in our life, we can go through these problems which are life's fiery trials, and even though it may get really hot at times, we won't get burned. We will go through the fire with GOD empowered by The HOLY SPIRIT inside us and come out on the other side unmarked and fully intact!

Hold the handkerchief over the bucket until the fire burns out, the handkerchief will be white and unmarked by the flames. If you need to, you can drop it in the metal bucket or stockpot and let it burn down there.

DO NOT PERFORM THIS LESSON WITHOUT FIRE EXTINGUISHER! Although we have never had to use the fire extinguisher, you must always be prepared, especially when working with children. Make sure you are not standing too close to any child.

MOST IMPORTANTLY Be prepared when the senior pastor sees you heading to kid's church with matches and a fire extinguisher. When our senior pastor raised an eyebrow at us & our request for the fire extinguisher, we simply said, "You wouldn't want us playing with matches without a fire extinguisher, would you?". This is how you don't respond. Be prepared, we can't help you with this one.
